Michael received a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia (2001). -While studying he co-founded Fibrid, a thesis project turned startup which focused on the potential of molded fiber material in the housewares market.

Upon graduation the Kohler Co hired Michael as the Industrial Designer of an Advanced Concept Development triad focused on new product and business initiatives.

Currently Michael is the Managing Director of Milder Office Inc, a furniture design and production company. -Michael continually takes on an array of freelance projects from graphics to product to furniture with some being displayed as artworks.- He also has been an academic guest lecturer and critic at both Undergraduate and Graduate levels.

Whether brainstorming with a client, fabricator or end user, Michael takes an approach which is collaborative thus his designs are a result of an open dialogue and observations. -His works maintain a minimal aesthetic while ranging from witty to ecological to hyper-functional, however most often resulting in a newfound appreciation for ubiquitous materials and objects.
